It's a French style: hard outside; airy, moist and chewy inside. Tasty. No preservatives, but it keeps for 3-4 days and makes good toast when it starts to dry out. You can freeze it. It also makes good bread crumbs and French toast. Only one guy knows the recipe, and he can keep a secret. A thick half slice is served with most entrees, slathered with chutney: a British/Indian sort of tomato based spicy relish. No pickles. No green dye. You can order up to eight loaves by calling a day ahead. It's hand-shaped. No two loaves are exactly alike in appearance!
